A Baby Girl
It was Maria and Ed's first. She was 29 weeks along. They'd chosen the names, bought the clothes, and then came a frightening turn. Bleeding sent the terrified young couple to the community health center. Within the hour, her Ob/Gyn was performing an Ultrasound, and all their worries were eased. Her placenta had implanted near the cervix — a condition known as Placenta Previa. With continuous monitoring and weekly outpatient care, daughter Emily was safely brought into this world.
