Burnaby, BC (November 24, 2005) – Ultrasonix Medical Corporation of Canada will demonstrate Sonix LiveTM, the first Live Video Stream demo at its RSNA 2005 booth #3500 between November 27 and December 1, 2005. Ultrasonix Medical Corporation develops smart Ultrasound systems for physicians and clinicians to help them deliver better patient care. The new Sonix LiveTM will be demonstrated on the Sonix SP ultrasound system and will become available on Ultrasonix diagnostic systems in early 2006.
Remote observation has been gaining popularity in recent years. With technology advancements, doctors in remote areas of the world would be able to utilize the live video streaming in order to review images from the other side of the globe. In a critical situation such as in trauma settings as well as rural areas with limited access to specialists, such technology can not only save patient’s lives, but also increase diagnosis efficiency and help physicians to ease patient’s concerns.
"Physicians, Clinicians, and Researchers can utilize Sonix LiveTM in areas such as education, image observation, and research collaboration", said Bob Thompson, Vice President of Global Marketing and Business Development. With an open PC-based operating architecture, Sonix product series provides a wireless LAN capability.
Sonix product series also features 80 GB hard drive, high image quality, front-load CD/DVD drive, and 2 front-load USB 2.0 drives for maximum data transfer convenience.
For more information on Sonix LiveTM, please visit booth #3500 South Hall at the McCormick Center, Chicago between November 27 and December 1st, 2005.
