Ultrasonix Medical Corp. Granted ISO 13485:2003 Certification

Burnaby, BC (January 21, 2005) – Leading ultrasound equipment manufacturer Ultrasonix Medical Corporation is pleased to announce that its management system has been granted ISO 13485:2003 certification by QMI, North America's premier management system registrar.

A new addition to the international medical device standards, ISO 13485:2003 aims to facilitate harmonized medical device regulatory requirements for quality management systems.

In accepting the certificate, Laurent Pelissier, Founder and Chief Technical Officer of Ultrasonix Medical Corp. stated, "At Ultrasonix we feel it is critical to maintain and exceed international quality standards.
